Ocean Freight Operations Coordinator

We are working with a Global Freight Forwarder seeking an Ocean Freight Operations Coordinator to join their team in the Netherlands.

This role can be based in various locations.

Responsibilities;

• Responsible for import and export bookings for ocean freight
• Speaking with customers, carriers and agents via phone and email
• Building relationship with carriers and agents
• Making suggestions for cost saving shipping methods
• Preparation and checking of shipping documents including HBL’s, manifest, certificate of origin
• Dispatching pick ups to agents and ocean carriers
• Track and tracing shipments for ocean freight
• Resolve any problems with billing or shipments

Skills Required;

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Shipping or International Transportation/ Logistics
• Experience working within the freight forwarding industry
• Ocean freight experience
• Fluent in English & Dutch (Oral and Writing).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Good attention to detail
