Worked well! It took almost a month but it finally just peeled right off. I get bad calluses on my toe from my flats at work and I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of them I used this with a banaid almost every night for about 3 weeks and finally success! I have been fighting a battle with 4 fingerpads that get thick callouses. I've used lactic acid lotion, urea, hyaluronic acid soaked bandaids, OTC and prescription cortisone creams, silicone finger cots - you name it and I've probably tried it.

I'm a 30 year veteran massage therapist, and also a gardener so both thumbs and a finger on each hand get a lot of mechanical stress put on them. I have picked up an object and the callous on the pads cracks open and bleeds. I was in a constant state of pain with these 4 fingerpads; I am a massage therapist, and even activitie of daily living such as cooking, cleaning, eating were problematic. I moisturized constantly but moisturizers will not help the living, growing dermal layer of skin if they cannot get through the thickened, hard dry skin above. And with the thick dty calloused skin above cracking and bleeding constantly the tissue underneath the skin was in a constant state of inflammation.

I was at my wits end, and I wondered if something like a strong salicylic product might work. Salicyns are natural antiflammatories (think aspirin or topical trolamine salicylate products.) Salicylic acid also helps break down the superficial dead layers of skin.

Corns or callouses form when there is too much mechanical pressure on the underlying tissue in order to protect it. I had inflammation, swollen tissue beneath the calloused, cracking skin on the fingerpads. , I chose this product because it is a stick which contains a waxy ingredint that would keep it on the skin, at the same time as providing a barrier to moisture loss which would lead to more dry skin and callousing.

I rub this stick over the calloused and/or very dry areas of my fingertips and then rub the fingertips together to work it into the skin several times a day. In 11 days this corn stick has worked wonders. I am not completely healed but I see an end to more than two years of painful cracking and bleeding finger pads. I wish I had thought to try this sooner.
