About us We are the World's Largest Sports Retailer. Founded in 1976, in France, we’ve been observing sportspeople in action to understand their needs, making the pleasure and benefit of sports available for the many across the globe. We do that by providing world-class products at extremely affordable prices for all participants, from enthusiastic beginners to passionate professionals. Decathlon, a network of innovative retail chain and over 90,000 of us live our common Purpose on a daily basis: “to make the pleasure and benefits of sport accessible for the many”.     New data released by the World Health Organisation reveals that the global population is becoming less physically active. 31% of adults are now not exercising enough each week in order to stay healthy, and the resulting financial impact on health services is expected to reach $300 billion by 2023. So, what can we do to reverse the trend? With fellow members of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI), such as Nike, adidas and Shimano, we have signed a joint commitment to take collective action to support people and their health. This includes building partnerships within the business community, leveraging the power of major sporting events, and raising awareness of the inactivity crisis itself. Beyond these particular actions, it’s about creating powerful international collaboration between the major players in the sports market, working towards a common goal for society. At Decathlon , we believe passionately in the power of movement and the positive impact that it can have on us both physically and mentally. Even if it’s just for a few minutes per day, being active can totally transform our mood, our long-term health, and even boost focus levels at work. Through our purpose, to Move People Through the Wonders of Sport, we hope to build a happier, healthier world by making it easier for people to stay active in a way that suits them.     Over 55,000 visit newest Decathlon store at Pasir Ris Mall 👏 👏 Marking the end of a busy and fulfilling first half of 2024, we are delighted to share that we have opened our newest store at Pasir Ris Mall - our first in the Pasir Ris district and first full store to feature the new Decathlon branding! 🎉 We are thrilled that over 55,000 sports lovers in the Pasir Ris community and beyond have visited this newest Click & Collect store over the past few weeks. This reaffirms our commitment to being present where we can best serve our community, ensuring convenience and accessibility for our customers. Decathlon Pasir Ris Mall is directly connected to the ever-popular Pasir Ris Park via the new Central Greenway, and is the perfect spot for customers to pick up watersports, running and cycling essentials, and more. 🚴♂️⚽️🏊♀️ Our signature complimentary 2-hour Click & Collect service will also allow customers access to over 5,000 Decathlon products across 60 sports categories online, ready for collection and use in 2 hours.     I’m thrilled that Decathlon is included in the very first edition of TIME Magazine’s ‘World Most Sustainable Companies’. Our commitment to acting responsibly for both people and the planet is part of our DNA. I know that this will mean a lot to many of my teammates. It reflects the hard work put into our sustainable and responsible business practices. We know that the issue at hand has major implications not just for us as a business, but for humanity at large. For 2 years now, we have succeeded at decoupling growth from our CO2 emissions, and our commitment is net zero by 2050. This is only the beginning. This recognition does not mean ‘job done’, but will instead act as motivation for the actions we take in the future.     Today marks an unprecedented moment as we finally launch the Decathlon Yulex100 - the world’s first-ever wetsuit made using 100% certified natural rubber. This is a major breakthrough because it emits 80% less CO2 compared with neoprene foam. Years of in-house development, alongside Yulex LLC, went into cracking the code to create this first-of-its-kind innovative wetsuit. We’ve started with our junior wetsuit because it accounted for the largest quantity of wetsuit sales in 2023, but this is just the beginning… We’re dreaming of a neoprene-free future. Bit by bit, we want to reduce the use of neoprene from as many of our watersports products as possible, as quickly as possible. We're committed to reducing our impact on the planet through our innovative, high-quality products and the Yulex100 is a major step forward for us in our conception of wetsuits.
