During the 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 programme in 2023, Yishun Town Secondary School partnered with non-profit educational organisation VIVITA to develop a design thinking programme for their secondary 2 and 3 students titled “Into the Unknown!”. Following the success of the programme, the students took on the role of design ambassadors during Singapore Design Week 2023 and hosted workshops for members of the public. They also independently ran a design workshop for visitors at their school open house! More than 50 students participated in the programme, developing their design thinking mindsets, specifically empathy, experimentation, and creative confidence. – Design Thinking in Schools is an initiative by the DesignSingapore Council, that aims to equip educators and students with design thinking skills through curated projects in partnership with design firms and IHLs. #DesignSingaporeCouncil #DesignThinkingInSchools
