Privacy Policy SingularityApp

Effective Date: January 6th, 2019

Introduction

We are committed to protecting the privacy of your data. This SingularityApp Privacy Policy explains specifically what information is collected from users through SingularityApp’s website and application. Please take a moment to get to know our practices and contact us if you have any questions.

What Information About Users Is Gathered and How It Is Used?

Basic principle we follow in designing our website and application is that we ask for only the information we need to provide the service you’ve requested.

You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with us (for example, when you fill out the forms or sign in). You are not obligated to provide the information we request, in this case it means we will not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to your inquiries.

If you have provided your functional email address during authorization or registration in SingularityApp, you will receive two types of notifications to this address: information critical to the functioning of the service and optional information. Registration information is critical, as well as information related to a paid subscription if it is activated. Optional information includes notifications about important changes in the operation of the SingularityApp service, as well as information about changes in price conditions, including discounts and gifts. To refuse to receive critical information, you need to delete the account in the application, optional information in this case will also not be sent. To refuse to receive only optional information, it is enough to click on the unsubscribe link from the letter delivered to the email address.

SingularityApp also collects aggregated, anonymous user data regarding app usage. The user data we collect is used to improve the service and its quality.

We work together with other companies who provide information processing services. We only share personal information with these companies if you have agreed to the transfer, or if it is permitted by data protection law. Although SingularityApp owns the code and all rights to the SingularityApp application, you retain all rights to your data. We do not store the databases until you signed in to Singularity Cloud, when so we use them to synchronize your devices. We will never share your personal data with a 3rd party without your prior authorization.

A mobile application on Android and iOS may require permission to access the device’s location permanently. This permission is required so that you can add a location to a task and receive notifications when the task starts according to that location (geo-notifications). To receive notifications when you get closer or farther away from the location specified in the task, you must have GPS enabled on your device and have access to the location in permanent mode. You can revoke the location access permission at any time in the device’s operating system settings. This will stop the geo-notifications from working. When the permission and GPS are enabled, geo-notifications will resume.

Do We Use Cookies?

We use cookies to store visitors preferences, customize website page content based on visitors browser type or other information that the visitor sends. Cookies are required to use SingularityApp site.

How Do We Protect Users Information?

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. We provide access to personal information to only those employees who need to know that information in order to deploy and maintain our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality agreements and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

To use some features of SingularityApp website, or our software, you may be asked to create an account and provide a functional email address and password. You should be careful about providing your password to others — you are responsible for the actions of anyone you’ve shared your password with.

All data and information transmitted with SingularityApp is secured by SSL protocol.

What happens to your data when synchronizing with Google calendar?

In the SingularityApp application settings, you can enable a single-ended and double-ended synchronization with your Google calendar.

Within an enabled synchronization, the application uses Google API to display your calendar lists in the application. Then you can choose a calendar in order to transfer events from the selected calendar to the application (so the events appear in the SingularityApp). We read calendar list in order to make tasks from the calendar fall into the application so that the application can synchronise and organize them.

While single-ended synchronization, the application receives events from connected Google calendars: the application displays events, but does not change them.

While a double-ended synchronisation we use a double-ended synchronisation. Then events from the calendar fall into the application as tasks (as far as the app is a task manager planner). When changing a task in the application, which is also an event in the Google calendar, all possible changes fall into the Google calendar (date and time, title, description, etc). When deleting a task in the app, it is also deleted in the your Google calendar. When adding a task to a project which your Google calendar is synchronized with, a new event is added to this Google calendar.

In order to use the SingularityApp application, all data transmitted from your Google account is stored and used in accordance with the privacy policy.
