This is a carbon copy of the MDN sample code presented within their Custom ES6 error section (developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/…), though you did take the time to modify "CustomError" to :DumbError" and to update the trigger code into something entirely nonsensical. This is a huge relief to me, since I've wondered for some time (and since you've made it clear how simple it is): What's the point of their (and by extension, of course, your) setting of this.date and this.foo? Oh! & how do you apply captureStackTrace?
