⏳ Throwback Thursday #TBT EP 35 - Globuc: Go Circular - 16th-17th April 2024 📍Cologne, Germany 🟢 Tackling the primary challenges of plastic circularity is the focus of Go Circular and in April of this year, Olivia Simpson was flying the FlexSea flag for next generation bioplastics with a competition winning pitch ⭐️ 🌊 With over 250 participants from 34 countries representing all aspects of the circular value chain of plastics, Go Circular provided the perfect platform to pitch the next generation of biomaterials with our 100% bio-based solutions for displacing single-use fossil fuel-based plastics 🌱 😊 The response to our pitch and further discussions were overwhelmingly positive and we were delighted to see the passion and confidence we have in our material reflected by those who engaged with us. ⏳ Throwback Thursday #TBT EP 34 - Med-Tech Innovation Expo - 5th-6th June 2024 📍Birmingham, UK 💡 Olivia Simpson, Mattia Parati and Tom Brine had a fantastic time at the Med-Tech Innovation Innovation Expo 2024, meeting innovators operating across the medical technology industry 🎤 Our COO Olivia Simpson gave a keynote speech on Wednesday, addressing the twin issues of single-use plastic synthesis and end of life - either through incineration or landfill - in the medical sphere 😷 85% of medical plastic waste is non-hazardous, yet unable to be recycled due to infection risks. ⏳ Throwback Thursday #TBT EP 33 - Hack Summit - 13th-14th June 2024 📍Lausanne, Switzerland 🌍🚀 Third time's a charm for FlexSea at Hack Summit in Lausanne - the yearly meeting of some of the brightest minds, showing what their companies are doing to make a better planet for us all! This year saw FlexSea send one and a half Italians to demonstrate the huge leaps and bounds we have made in the last twelve months! ⚽🏆 The attack formation was comprised of our talisman and CEO, Carlo Fedeli, and his trusty midfielder, Enrico Green. With the Euro’s in full swing, the pair were looking to grasp any remaining glory for the Azzurri, by seeking out new projects, partnerships and investors! 🎤🥅 There was a very strong first half performance, with some great traction assists from Enrico followed by a thundering wonder goal during Carlo’s 30-second pitch on the HackSummit main stage! 💪⚡️ The work rate remained high throughout the following hours and into the next day, having key conversations with investors and forming the basis to several new projects (watch this space!), leading to a comfortable win for the FlexSea side. 🙏 🌱 We would like to thank the officials (Arman Anatürk, Laura Hodgkiss and the rest of the Hack team) for putting on such a brilliant event, and for allowing us to pitch our revolutionary material from our very own booth. ⚽️🏆 See you in the finals! #HackSummit #FlexSea #climatetech #innovation #sustainability #Euros2024 #forzaFlexSea #plastics #product #processing #packaging #manufacturing #circular #technology #seaweed #biomaterials #bioplastics #compostable

They not only had the amazing opportunity to display our cutting-edge packaging solutions, but they were also able to present and pitch FlexSea’s story and vision for a sustainable future on stage. 😎 LuxePack was the perfect platform to showcase FlexSea's innovative materials. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we were inspired by the enthusiasm and interest from industry leaders and fellow innovators. 🙏 A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and showed interest in our work as well as Laurène Espade Espade and the rest of the LuxePack team for organising such an inspiring event. We were able to showcase our latest injection moulded articles alongside our novel filaments for 3D printing, all produced from our 100% bio-based #biomaterials derived from red #seaweed 🎤 Our CSO Mattia Parati was invited to give a talk at the Reimagining Materials and Manufacturing Showcase about our two, top 5-ranked, Innovate UK funded projects ☕️ It was fantastic to catch up with partners in both academia and industry, especially the teams at Essentra and NanoLayr. A massive thank you Dana Heldt, Rajesh Mistry and Neelam Sahar Mughal Mughal for putting together such a wonderful event
