We are proud to support our Charity Partner, AberNecessities, working together to make sure that no child goes without the basic necessities they need to thrive. We initially donated as the Headline Sponsor for their 'Believing in Magic' Christmas campaign, helping them to bring joy, wonder, excitement and essential items to local children and families, followed by an additional donation towards the Charity's 'Sweet Dreams' campaign. This initiative provides beds, mattresses, and bedding to children and families in need across Aberdeen City and Shire, ensuring better sleep, improved overall well-being and a chance to dream. Various teams across the organisation have shown their support by volunteering at Abernecessities HQ in Dyce, helping with the Christmas Appeal and sorting pre loved clothing, highlighting our commitment to the well-being of our community. Thank you to everyone at Ithaca Energy who has donated, dedicated their time through volunteering and supported this wonderful charity over the last year, together we can make a difference.

We recently achieved a major milestone, completing the decommissioning of our Anglia asset. Working with the Heerema Marine Contractors owned Semi-Submersible Crane Vessel (SSCV) Sleipnir - the world’s largest crane vessel with a lift capacity of 20,000t – somewhat larger than Anglia’s total weight of 2,000t! The facilities were removed in six days, including mooring activities, topsides removal, jacket removal, and template removal. The works went smoothly and without incident or accident.   The Anglia structures were successfully offloaded at AF Gruppen's environmental base in Norway, ready for the next phase of dismantling for re-use of components and recycling. Congratulations to everyone involved on a successful and safe campaign. #Triumph.Together

Our Technical Excellence team had great day at Alford Valley Community Railway on Friday 7th June. The team carried on the good work of our previous teams and managed to replace 27 sleepers which was hard work but very rewarding. Time was limited and quality of work was paramount as the railway needed to be back in operation the next day for paying customers. The staff at the railway were impressed with the work carried out and grateful to have another team from Ithaca Energy supporting this good cause.   Emma Pauley, Senior Competency Advisor said “This was a cracking day out to help the Alford Valley Community Railway restore their railway line. It was a great chance for some team building and an opportunity to give back to an important and historical local attraction. We all had a great day, even a little bit of rain didn’t dampen our spirits 😊.”   The team are looking forward to visiting again to help Alford Valley Community Railway team continue their refurbishment of this community facility.   #BeConsidered #TriumphTogether

We are proud to take part in the ADHD Foundation’s Umbrella Project again, raising awareness and understanding of neurodiversity. Ithaca Energy, along with many businesses across Aberdeen and the UK, will display the colourful umbrellas as a visual representation that one in five of us have a neurodivergent condition such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia or Tourette’s syndrome which fall under the umbrella term of neurodiversity.   Over the course of the next few months the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Network will provide further information and opportunities to learn more about neurodiversity, opening up the discussion on neurodiversity and allowing people to understand both the challenges and positive impact that neurodiversity can bring to the workplace to aid in the ADHD’s aim to change the perception of neurodiverse/neurodivergent people and celebrating all the many strengths that come from thinking differently. Janice Doyle, General Manager, People and Culture said, "I am delighted we are supporting the Umbrella Project again this year, celebrating our unique strengths and abilities and how we can continue to develop our understanding to create more inclusive environments both at work and at home." #TriumphTogether #BeConsidered

Our Commercial and Legal team had a great day at the Alford Valley Community Railway last week. Together, they managed to replace 16 sleepers which was challenging but very rewarding. Holly Fraser, Graduate Commercial Associate said, “It really was time well spent for a great charity. The railway closed down in 2017 and was subsequently taken over by the charity in 2022. Since then, a lot of hard work has been put in by volunteers to prepare the railway for the public and the re-opening was on Saturday, June 1st. The charity is very excited about this milestone and encourages everyone, especially families with children, to visit. Also, if you are looking for somewhere to spend your volunteering day, I would definitely recommend AVCR – there are plenty more sleepers to replace!”   Thank you to the team for your fantastic enthusiasm and hard work.

Honouring commitments made at our HES Contractors Safety forum in March, Ithaca Energy’s Late Life Assets team welcomed key suppliers including Archer Well Services, Petrofac, Baker Hughes and Valaris Limited to develop a joint premobilisation programme for Green Hands (those new to offshore and our installations) focused on personal and process safety. Late Life Asset Manager John Marlow explained: “After 30 years in the industry it was empowering to see such commitment to continuous improvement in safety. The team spoke openly about previous experiences and what could be done to improve safety engagement prior to Green Hands & Green Hats before their first deployment offshore.” #Triumph.Together
