K2 Foundation recently partnered with the Team Bath Para Swim Squad, which provides expert coaching for para-swimmers aged 7–16 with physical disabilities or visual impairments. To launch our new partnership, we joined the squad for its first para-swimming taster session at the Team Bath Sports Training Village, University of Bath. The video below features the session with our CCO Rob McFarland who is the Chair of the team, highlighting the importance of para programmes in supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of children with physical disabilities or visual impairments. Last week ten K2 UK team members volunteered to support Naomi House & Jacksplace by making thank-you calls to Clarendon Way Walk fundraisers. This event saw over 500 people fasten their walking boots and head out on a hike between Salisbury Cathedral and Winchester Cathedral, raising an incredible £88,000 so far 👏 Our volunteers called 350 fundraisers to express gratitude. Taryn shared, "Talking to supporters was humbling and rewarding, especially hearing about a 9-year-old who organised fundraising on his own!" K2 UK has proudly partnered with Naomi House & Jacksplace since 2023, participating in various volunteering initiatives. The charity provides expert hospice care to life-limited and life-threatened children, young adults, and families across central southern England.
