"𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐦-𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭!" Wrong. ❌ Since February, I've been working with Niyyah on the growth team. (𝙒𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙝𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙌𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 5 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙙𝙖𝙮.) No music, no inappropriate content, nothing haram. Not going to bore you with the fluff, here are the numbers - straight up: 📈 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟏: +𝟱.𝟵𝗞 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 📈 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐: +𝟱.𝟬𝗞 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 📈 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟑: +𝟭𝟬𝗞 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 📈 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟒: +𝟲𝗞 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 In just 4 months, we grew from 𝟒.𝟐𝐊 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝟑𝟑𝐊 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬. And these weren’t just numbers; we also saw a significant increase in engagement with 𝟏𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐩𝐩 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧-𝐮𝐩𝐬! الحمدلله of course. 🙌 وَمَا تَوۡفِيقِيٓ إِلَّا بِٱللَّهِۚ عَلَيۡهِ تَوَكَّلۡتُ وَإِلَيۡهِ أُنِيبُ “And my success is not but through Allah. What will the 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇 say about you? 🤔 (45 second read) Today, we focus on Surah Al-Zalzalah and more importantly, 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮.    This powerful surah underscores the importance of 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐞 of our actions, whether small or (seemingly) insignificant. This is outlined in the following verses:  فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًۭا يَرَهُۥ ٧ So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it. وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ شَرًّۭا يَرَهُۥ ٨ And whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it. 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐡 𝐀𝐥-𝐙𝐚𝐥𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐡 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐲.   The Earth will also be a witness to our deeds and will testify to what we have done upon it! يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ٤ on that Day the earth will recount everything, بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا ٥ having been inspired by your Lord ˹to do so˺. The Rafah tent massacre has left almost 100 people dead. As horrific as that sounds, this number pales in comparison with the >35,000 that have been killed, including >15,000 children. If you've seen the recent uproar over Rafah, this is just a sign of the rising anger that you'd expect anyone to feel when >1 million people are suffering from man-made starvation while their homes are being razed to the ground. The area in Rafah was a declared safezone for Palestinians. When the attack took place, many had just finished night prayers, some were asleep and others were simply with their families. One survivour, Layan al-Fayoum recounted, “We were sitting down in peace when we suddenly heard the explosion.” The images and videos coming out of Rafah are absolutely harrowing. This level of indiscriminate bombing can never be justified. We need a permanent ceasefire now. And we should not remain silent about it. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐪-𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐞? 📈 From backing startup founders to becoming one myself, I've learned a lot about "rizq-appetite". Just as risk fuels entrepreneurship, rizq - the Arabic word for ‘provision’ from God - equally fuels our life too. For current or aspiring founders building in this space, here are a few reflections from me and the team at Niyyah: 1) Understand what Rizq is in YOUR context: Rizq encompasses blessings in all forms—health, relationships, opportunities. It’s all about being attuned to the abundance already surrounding you. 2) Balancing Rizq & efforts: Trusting in your Rizq doesn't mean sitting back and waiting for things to come to you—it means giving your all while having faith that what is meant for you will come to you. 3) The Abundance Mindset: I cannot stress how important this one is. Cultivating this allows you to really see beyond your limitations and opens your eyes to the opportunities out there. 4) Sharing is caring: Use your rizq to help others. True fulfilment doesn’t come from what we accumulate ourselves but also from the positive impact we can have on the lives of others. 5) Be Grateful!: Gratitude is the key to unlocking more blessings in your life.
