New store alert! 🚀 We’ve opened our 54th store in the UAE at Dubai International Airport - Terminal 3. Located at the A-gates area, this airside store features an impressive four tills to efficiently handle both currency exchange and VAT refund transactions. The layout is specifically crafted to enhance customer experience. Our newly refurbished Concourse A store located at airside departures is also open for business! We’ve added a further seven currencies to our pre-paid currency card, the Travelex Money Card (TMC), powered by Mastercard! 🎉 Now customers in the UK can upload and spend Norwegian Krone, Danish Krone, Icelandic Krona, Hungarian Forint, Thai Baht, Hong Kong Dollar and Singapore Dollar on their TMC, taking the total number of currencies available to 22. This expansion meets growing demand for Asian currencies as travel continues to rebound in the region post-pandemic. It’s also the latest milestone in our digital transformation journey, including innovations like our self-service digital kiosk at Heathrow and the ATM click-and-collect product. Cash is King! 👑 We’ve always said cash is king and with the new British pound notes that is definitely correct! The new King Charles banknotes have arrived down under this week and we’ve received the first arrival of the new £5 and £50 notes. The new notes will be available for customers to exchange at a handful of select stores across Australia with our Queen Victoria Building and Bondi Junction stores being the very first in Australia to offer the notes.
