Building on the success of numerous 'Wash Days' for the homeless in Fort Worth, Texas, where laundry services are provided to those without access to washing facilities, The Washing Machine Project celebrated its first Wash Day in Philadelphia! ❤️ Teaming up with volunteers from RS Americas/RS Integrated Supply, our social impact partners at The Washing Machine Project took over a local laundromat for the day, washing, drying, folding, and delivering 230 kg of clothes to a nearby family shelter. #WeAreRS #TheWashingMachineProject #WashDay

Clarence Mabunda has worked at RS South Africa for 10 and a half years. We caught up with him to discuss what life is like in Product Support for Exports and find out about what life is like for him within the business. What does a typical day look like for you? Clarence: A typical day includes confirming RS stock numbers to match customer requests for quotations on emails and answering inbound calls to confirm product specifications and advise on alternative products on offer with similar capabilities if not the same. What is your favourite thing about working at RS? Clarence: RS is an employer that values and supports people development. When I started with the operations team over 10 years ago, packing and dispatching shipments daily; little did I know that I would be in the role that I am today. What has been your favourite memory of working here during the last decade? Clarence: Meeting Anders Friis and Keith Rice in the Courtyard at RS South Africa in May/June 24 and having them answer with details some of the product queries I have always wished to ask the Executive leadership team. #RSLife #OurPeople #Export

It was super chatting to the amazing volunteers that had helped build washing machines for The Washing Machine Project - providing an update and showing where their hard work directly makes impact.
