A retained stone façade for an extended retail space in a busy shopping centre in the steel city.
The Grade II listed building frontage with public house to rear, in a busy shopping location, has been a feature of the Sheffield cityscape for many years. A sensitive programme of demolition, restoration and construction of some 1800m2 of space was implemented. A new steel frame, walls and roof were built on 70 new piles and foundations. The Grade II listed building frontage with public house to rear, in a busy shopping location, has been a feature of the Sheffield cityscape for many years. A sensitive programme of demolition, restoration and construction of some 1800m2 of space was implemented. A new steel frame, walls and roof were built on 70 new piles and foundations. Knocking through into an adjacent space and the addition of a new lift and escalators formed a new retail unit of over 5000m2.
These works together with extensive remodelling of existing mechanical, electrical, smoke and life support systems was completed whilst the surrounding retail operations continued unhindered.Other creators -

Sub division of a single retail unit in to 3 new units within Windsor's bustling shopping centre.
The work included a reduced level dig at basement level for new lift shafts and retaining waterproofed walls. Cutting and adapting the existing reinforced concrete structure to suit 3 new retail units for SupaDry, Cotswold. Provided within the contract was a Design & Build service with Architectural, Structural Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Design Services. We delivered a new Structural Glass Facade, 2 new goods lifts, 1 disabled passenger lift, a feature glass staircase. Over a 1000 square meters of new concrete block work walls, new concrete floor slabs, pitched and flat roofing work, New services infrastructure with 4 supplies needed. Extending four retail units and modifying mechanical and electrical services including complex smoke extract systems. The works included the reconfiguration of four escalators, removing two feature lifts and infilling the central void to provide increased letable retail space.
All within an extreemly busy fully operation shopping centre that was a main through fare for Birmingham City centre. We didn't loose a single day of trading.Other creators -
