🚨 Here's your reminder from PPC Geeks Ltd - Google makes money because you pay for advertising! 💸 We see our role as helping our clients not give Google any more money that you need to. Google needs to work for you, not be a tax on your business. Fascinating insights in this article. Key points I take from this: 1. A reminder that Google manually increased Ad prices to hit revenue targets. 2. CPCs are rising! But hey, everything costs more these days doesn't it... 3. The thing is, CPCs are rising despite click volumes decreasing! That's counter intuitive to supply and demand surely... 4. PMax is performing better now. But...this is comparing peak shopping data Q4 with Q1 so not Apples with Apples here. 5. PMax is what most advertisers are running. And it kinda is performing better (we always test and usually it does perform better in our data). That said, expect PMax to be the only option soon. Bottom line: It takes daily diligence in your account to not let Google suck up more of your margin. It's more complicated now because so much is automated, it needs more checks and a better understanding of what's going on than ever before - especially in today's economy. Be vigilant. Always. If your still buying solar leads from Bark and can’t get a decent return, this may help explain why. This just appeared on my feed on Facebook, leads are generated using generic top of the funnel ads like this, with customer info then being sold on to 4/5 fitters to maximise profit. Refund/return policies that are becoming tighter than a submarines window. Instead you could invest in running your own Facebook ads, on brand, showing off your accreditations, social proof, packages on offer etc etc Critically: they go to you and you alone and can be rang within 30 seconds of arriving while the lead is hot 🔥 Don’t go into another week with this being your strategy, or at least hedge and put some money into testing running your own and see the difference for yourself!
