Designed a first-of-its-kind charity project to raise awareness of domestic violence, particularly in young people.
Involved liaising with IDAS domestic abuse charity in York, campus media and the student union to get the project up and running.
Recruited ambassadors to help with the collection of 2012 cards with members of the public's names and occupations on, and a declaration of care. These were attached together with string before being placed around the campus lake to form a 'ring of care'.
Maximised media coverage - including local and campus newspapers, campus radio and social media.
Utilised social media to communicate with York students about the project, whilst also aiding IDAS in broadcasting their services and events.
Created a unique video culminating key facts about domestic abuse and what the project aimed to achieve, along with key dates for the event. This was circulated amongst students via YouTube to gain maximum support for the project.
The success of the project demonstrates ability to lead a team, organise time and tasks efficiently, as well as the ability to communicate well with others.
