Smart Works is a charity that helps women on low incomes get a job and become financially independent.
With extensive knowledge of the problems that these women face, they provide interview clothes and interview training, enabling them not only to feel more confident but also to start to believing in their own ability to succeed and move on with their lives.
They have a team of over 75 trained volunteers, helping them to make them look great and feel confident for their job…Smart Works is a charity that helps women on low incomes get a job and become financially independent.
With extensive knowledge of the problems that these women face, they provide interview clothes and interview training, enabling them not only to feel more confident but also to start to believing in their own ability to succeed and move on with their lives.
They have a team of over 75 trained volunteers, helping them to make them look great and feel confident for their job interview. Current volunteers include Director of Operations at Marie Curie Cancer Care, Managing Director of Figleaves and Commercial Content Director at News UK
They have developed three distinct programmes and services that support our clients at the various different points of their employment journey:
• Our hugely successful core dressing and interview service that gives our clients the tools they need to achieve employment
• Our sustain service that supports our clients transition back to work
• Our support service, which helps clients with more complex barriers to employment achieve their goals of finding work and securing a brighter future
I work in the Support team as an Interview Volunteer. I help clients prepare for their interview by focussing on their skills, their confidence and their presentation
