Software Engineer (Connectivity)

A disruptive prime brokerage/clearing service is seeking to hire a Software Engineer for their Venue integration team. This role is pivotal in integrating both digital asset and traditional exchanges into their advanced trading platform.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Spearhead the integration of new exchanges into their trading platform, ensuring flawless connectivity and performance.
2. Partner with exchange partners and third-party vendors to establish and maintain robust API connections.
3. Develop tailored solutions and tools to automate exchange integration and enhance trading operations.
4. Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of exchange integrations, including order execution, order book management, and trade settlement, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.
5. Oversee exchange API performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to improve trading efficiency.
6. Collaborate closely with internal teams, including developers, product managers, and compliance officers, to prioritize and deliver integration projects on schedule and within budget.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with exchange APIs and protocols, with a thorough understanding of order execution, market data, and trade lifecycle management.
• Proven track record of integrating digital asset exchanges into trading platforms, including API authentication, data normalization, and error handling.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
• Prior experience in the cryptocurrency or fintech sector is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team environment.
