Here at Stanford Black, every day is International Women’s Day!💖 We have a vision that the technology and finance sectors will no longer be known for being male dominated. It is no secret that there remains a significant gender imbalance in both; just 5% of leadership positions in the technology sector are held by women! Research has shown that companies with greater gender diversity are 25% more likely to achieve above-average profitability. This is why our Women In Tech initiative remains a core business focus at Stanford Black, and we’re proud to be the top gender diversity partner to multiple Tier 1 investment banks, Asset Managers and FinTechs. To celebrate International Women’s Day we have shared with our team 10 Influential Women in Technology to acknowledge the achievement and influence they have had on the Tech Industry over the years. Here’s a couple of examples which especially stood out to the team: ️ ⭐Annie Easley - Annie was one of the four African Americans who worked at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) and developed and implemented code which led to the development of batteries used in Hybrid cars. She is well known for encouraging women and people of her colour to study in STEM fields. ️ ⭐ Grace Hopper - Grace Hopper was known for her development of the first computer complier and first programming language which helped revolutionise the world of computers. She was also awarded the national medal of technology and was the first and only female to be honoured with this award back in the 90s. Need help diversifying your team?
