    If you do not have a Backblaze account, you can sign up online. If you already have a Backblaze Computer Backup account, you can enable Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage in the web console.

    Create a Backblaze B2 Account

    1. Navigate to the Backblaze B2 sign-in page.
    2. Enter your email address, and click Get started for free.
    3. Check your email, and click the link to verify your email address.
      You must click the validation link using the same browser that you used to enter your email address. The validation link expires in 15 minutes.
      You may need to cut and paste the link from your email into your browser.
    4. Enter and confirm a password.
      Passwords must conform to the following criteria:
      • Must be less than or equal to 99 characters in length.
      • Must not contain ASCII control characters.
      • Can contain multiple instances of the 'at sign' (@), but an email address can have only one instance.
      • Must not begin with or end with a space character.
    5. Select a data region.
    6. Review and confirm the Terms of Service.
    7. Click Create Account.
    8. Sign in to your newly created Backblaze B2 account.

    Enable Backblaze B2

    Before you begin: You must have a Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage account. If you already have a Backblaze account and the left navigation menu contains a B2 Cloud Storage section, your account is already enabled for Backblaze B2.

    1. Sign in to the Backblaze web console.
    2. In the user menu in the upper-right corner of the page, select My Settings.
    3. Under Enabled Products, select the checkbox to enable B2 Cloud Storage.
    4. Review the Terms and Conditions, and click OK to accept them. 
    Note
    If you are a member of a Group, then Backblaze B2 services must be turned on for the Group before you can enable Backblaze B2 on your account.

    Verify an Email Address

    If you created an account without verifying an email address, you can do so in the Backblaze web console.

    1. Sign in to the Backblaze web console.
    2. In the user menu in the upper-right corner of the page, select My Settings.
    3. Click Verify your Email in the Security section.
    4. Enter the email address that is associated with your Backblaze account, and click Send Code.
      A verification email is sent to your email address.
    5. In the Verify Email Address dialog, enter the code from the verification email and click Verify.
