Déjeuner des loups
Quand Lucas (voir « Le loup sentimental ») attrape un cochon dans la forêt, il téléphone vite à sa maman pour inviter la famille à déjeuner dimanche. Mais il découvre vite que le cochon - Maurice - n'est pas un cochon ordinaire. Il cuisine divinement bien, il joue admirablement du piano, et il raconte des histoires merveilleusement bien. Lucas tombe dans le piège de l'amitié, ce qui n'est pas fait pour plaire à son père qui comptait sur un bon déjeuner de cochon rôti...

Found this one at the op shop for a dollar. A nicely illustrated picture book about how a smart pig managed to survive his capture by the wolf, becoming good friends of the whole family instead of being the Sunday roast!
From a French learner's perspective, this one is mostly in present tense, including perfect, imperfect and conditional tenses. I think there was only one word of passé simple (preterite). I was surprised that it was used inconsistently. Maybe there's some subtlety I'm not aware of in the use of French past tenses, or maybe the author was trying not to use passé simple and then slipped up at the end.

Αριστούργημα! Ένα υπέροχο παραμύθι γεμάτο βαθιά νοήματα και χιλιάδες εξαιρετικά υποσυνείδητα και συνειδητά μηνύματα!! Όλοι οι χαρακτήρες είναι αξιαγάπητοι και η ιστορία είναι απλά υπέροχη! Ένα παραμύθι για μικρούς και μεγάλους! Τρομερή εικονογράφηση και τρομερή προσέγγιση όλων των θεμάτων! Είμαι σίγουρη ότι όλοι θα το αγαπήσουν, αυτό το βιβλίο! Ο "Κάκος Λύκος", όπως δεν τον έχετε ξαναδεί!!!

Ce livre parle de deux amis un cochon et un loup , un jour le loup invite sa famille â un dîner mais son père veut manger le cochon ; alors , pour le distraire , le cochon a chanté au air de piano, il a préparé un délicieux dîner et il a réparé leur voiture; comme ça le loup il n’ a plus envie de lui manger .

The Wolf's Lunch - Another delightful French children's book. The wolf captures a pig, intending to have him for dinner when his family comes over. But the pig is so useful (he cooks, plays piano), the wolf just can't bring himself to eat his new friend. But when his parents, siblings and grandparents come for lunch (cooked by the pig), they are outraged at this unwolf-like behavior. All is forgiven when the pig repairs the wolfs' car.
