Can I use metrics as dimension?

I'm curious if there's a way to use metrics as dimension with Lookerstudio.

In Google Search Console data, we have Avg. Position (metric) data, and I want to create position ranges as dimension (e.g., 1-3 positions, 4-10 positions). However, I'm facing difficulty because metrics (blue value) cannot be used as dimension (green value).

I've noticed that the recently added bins feature allows data to be segmented into intervals. Is there a way to convert metrics into measurement standards using this feature?

I don't think there are any built in features in Looker Studio that'll let you treat this metric as a dimension.

I wonder if folks have gotten around this before. One idea I have is to get your metric into your data source somehow. If it's a column in your data source, Looker Studio will treat it as a dimension.
