Can i use this logic in a liquid variable in an explore?

Hi there! Yes, you should be able to do something like that if both of those tables are joined into the explore:

  {%if table1name.dimension._in_query and table2.dimension.value == "Yes"  %}
    event_by_day
  {% else %}
    event
  {% endif %} ;;
