There is no way for an introvert to know about the "quality" of a person. And, frankly, it's not important. At this stage, what's important is for them to conquer their fears. They will never be able to go over and introduce themselves to the CEO of a Fortune 10 company, but they will be able to introduce themselves to the CEO of a company who no one has ever heard of. In any case, quality people recognize the shy and will introduce themselves to them. As I wrote above, I am, or was, one of the shy and introverted. Good people would come to me. They were also the ones who responded to my follow-up emails.
