Review the scope of what is to be delivered and work with the project lead / sponsor on what is essential and what is just desirable and can be pushed back or deprioritised to get back on track. Outsourcing some minor tasks and work can always relieve the pressures so that the team can focus what they need to deliver using their expertise. Bringing new people on at a late stage doesn't always bring extra capacity because it takes time to onboard them and also increases costs. Call a review to understand what led to the miscalculation of the deadline and / or what contributed to potentially missing the deadline for what can be learnt for next time.
