Right well this is a mad one. 9 times out of 10, DO NOT TRUST OR LISTEN TO YOUR MANAGER (around your personal brand). First up, it's personal - who are they to question your values? Your feelings? Your thoughts? Why do you have to reaffirm your authenticity? Sure take the space to reflect if maybe you;re not being true to you, and your Manager is a trustworthy and reliable source. But don't let somebody with a senior title let you for a second think they know better than you. Especially around you.
