I actually agree with the idea of going deeper into specialized masters programs and PhD , this allows for one to build a mental library which they can later transfer into reality once they are faced with challenges in the field. As we say in mining we solve problems we never knew we had in the first place. Having a bachelor's degree is ok however it's still shallow and requires alot of exposure whether theoretically or through experience. When I say theoretically I mean pursuing advanced degrees, however I'm of the opinion that engaging in the field first then later pursing further studies would be better.

Advanced degrees “endorse” that the person has that knowledge, but they do not ensure it, since to give an example: sometimes there are managers or team leaders who, just by having master's degrees, or postgraduate degrees, access those positions, but ironically They have not even touched the countryside and would not even be willing to spend a night in camp. In theory they know, but in practice is where skills and knowledge are truly demonstrated. As a reflection, mention: as professionals, what stands out is the attitude we have, taking on the challenges and together with all the members of the team, moving the project forward. Having advanced degrees does not make you the owner of knowledge or absolute truth and that has been seen.

In many companies, when evaluating CVs, it is incongruous for a person to undergo training in an area that interests them and wants to venture into, but that is not where they have had professional development for 5 or 10 years, so due to the fact of not having experience with that certification is simply disqualified. Professionals do it, facing the fact that if they are working they have the resources, but time and availability play a crucial role; And if you are unemployed, you may have a little time, but resources may be limited. Then it is necessary to value the efforts that the professional overcomes to achieve certification.
