How would you address stakeholder concerns about the transparency of Agile project progress and outcomes?

Agile sets that transparency is a pillar. However, by my experience, transparency is not a binary thing. We all want to be transparent to foster collaboration and continuous improvements, but in some companies that's not possible. Before setting a too high level of transparency that will go against the team, we have to understand the environment and the "stakeholder's expectations". If they will get the estimation as written in stone (as example) it must be done carefully the level of transparency we provide. Think it deep about the environment before open to full transparency, otherwise the negative affected will be the people trying to make things better.

It is important to highlight that Agile practices promote open communication and visibility. Agile teams try to work in short, iterative cycles (think sprints in Scrum), where progress is continuously shared through tools like burn-down charts and regular updates.
