From my experience, theory is necessary, but how it is internalized is through projects. Regardless of your level, there are projects that help you advance to the next level, where you can do another project that takes you to the next one,...

I recall reading a book about how most of the now tech giants came to be and they all started with solving a problem that they encountered in their personal life. These projects don't need to be at the same scale of making the next Facebook or Google, but if you are finding a problem in your life, chance are someone else is having the same experience. Using that as the goal of your project, even if you don't strike it big with a billion dollar evaluation, ideally you will have solved a problem effecting you directly.

Know the basics and i have strongly felt there is no workaround for this. Its better to set the foot strongly and then move too fast towards trendy tech. It helps to pick up new things in easy way. 2nd is to keep coding and practice. Work life might not always be enough and enjoy some fun technical challenges. 3rd be curious and take opinions. It contributes to knowledge. And try to implement as hands on. Be open to learn new always and relearn what is already learned.

After one point we are just repeating things. Solving more problem or learning new languages does not add meaningful growth. I believe next logical step is to explore and learn from other people's experiences through books, learn patterns, learn from their mistakes.

One thing that I will always reiterate when learning and growing, is knowing when to ask for help or seek guidance. If you are stuck on a concept and can't seem to figure it out yourself, use one of the many resources available to ideally get a different perspective. YouTube, Stack Overflow, GitHub, Reddit, a co-worker, most people want you to succeed so seeking a helping hand may be a bit of a humbling experience but I promise people won't judge you. Use a little bit of courage and know when you need help, but more importantly seek guidance for that necessary help.
