Ensuring the success of products in the market is influenced by various factors. I firmly believe that a thorough understanding of our customers allows us to create products that consistently excel in the market over the long term

Any product development starts from needs, so customer satisfaction is fundamental indicator. But after all there is some products got failure due to lack of trial time duration and conjecture gap. Also challenging face is our customer changing mindset about your products - For example initially a product got reliable and good feedback but mindset changes frequently. Thats I feel very tired situation.

Pros: - Leading Indicator: Customer satisfaction is an early signal of how well a product resonates with its target audience, providing insights into its acceptance and appeal. - Comparative Analysis: It allows for easy comparison across different features or aspects of a product. Reputation Impact: High customer satisfaction can positively influence a company's reputation and brand image. Cons: - Vanity Metric: While it reflects user happiness, customer satisfaction doesn't necessarily indicate the product's effectiveness or the specific value it provides to users. - Surface-Level Insight: This metric doesn't go into the underlying reasons behind a user's contentment or discontentment, lacking actionable insights for product improvement.

You can't set your product management KPIs without knowing what your business goals are. If you're not sure what KPIs to consider, keep this in mind.Not all metrics are important, some will just lead you down the wrong path because they won't add any real value to your work. For example, the number of people using an app at a given time is one of the product management KPIs that only strives for an absurd goal. With this data, you cannot get correct results, because there is no effective interaction and difference in the work of that team. Instead of measuring the number of people currently using the app, you can measure the number of subscribers per hour. Don't measure everything just because you have useful resources.

There is a need to identify and measure business performance on both tangible & intangible goals. Both are equally important and critical for continuous growth & success of winning organization.

Metrics for a product development cycle should be driven by : product durability, aesthetics, global substance of conformation (eco friendliness), product development schedule and timelines, minimum wastages (from sampling to prototyping to sop) and imbibing a FTR approach! These will naturally evolve into business outcomes such as customer loyalty, share of market, sales and profitability targets!

Acquisition metrics could be CAC, # sign ups, new users, growth rate. Business share will be in-line with your competitor analysis like user LTV, % market share, so on.

Without doubt, my past experiences with product development and eventual commercialization of the new products often revolved around idea generation, innovation development, market and production feasibility analysis and scalable solutions that provides sustainable growth for the business. I couldn't agree much that team collaboration is a critical measurement, with a shared vision and clear R&R will create a safe and supportive environment. However, all this can be easily destroyed by a bad leadership of the management or the manager itself. Favourism, office politic and injustice claiming credit may distort the harmony of the team. Hence, the pulse check on team should be done differrently by checking on the integrity of the leadership based on individual team member's feedback. Then the team morale can be preserved.

Team collaboration is an essential part of carrying forward the research & design efforts. It carries forward the core value of the products DNA and brands positioning.

Creating an environment of maximum psychological safety .. Where challenging each other and the product can be done without reprisal within the team... is crucial for innvoation. The book "The 4 Stages of Psychological Safety" and Google's "Project Aristotle" provide more context.
