One of my teaching is "everyone is not your ideal client." Same goes for building your network -- not everyone will be a good fit. Not only do you need to research who you'd like to network and collaborate with, it helps to establish clear standards and criteria for who you want to spend time with and who you will promote and refer. Your referrals to other vendors or coaches are a reflection of your brand -- make sure those referrals are worthy of it.
