In my experience, some key ways to keep up with industry trends are as follows: Benchmarking within and outside of your industry Sharing best practices within your company Networking with industry vendors & contacts Using zero loss analysis to identify areas to target Understanding changing technology and how it could be applied to improve your operation The combination of the above items along with understanding the factors impacting your customers and innovation needed to meet the needs of your business .

Industry trends are usually defined by 2 things. 1. Industry requirements of the clients. 2. Technology evolution. To see this we must continuously visit new business fairs where new machines, technology and experts demonstrate their innovations. The next best thing is to create the trend by constantly improving and trying out new methods to improve operations.

What could be output 30 to 40 percent of output? 1. If you employee a engineer today you need results tomorrow or with in months not possible. 2. Studying face is important and implementing the thing's it takes 2 years. 3.trainings face place major role. 4.Continuous important 5 Continuous training all the areas. 6.After 6 months, 40 to 50 percent improvement . 7.After one year 60 to 75 percent 8.After 18 months 80 to 90 percent 9.After 2 years 95 to 100 percent improvement. 10. Lean is continuous improvement processing .kept traning.

Understand that with Lean we are always seeking perfection. Even when we think we have the process perfected we need to be vigilant about making sure we keep improving the process as technology and policy change. If we continue to seek perfection through measuring the effectiveness of our process we will be able to know when we need to look to like minded people in the industry to see if we have a best practice or need to update our own process.

New technologies and industry trends are always a source of new ideas and opportunuties. But technology itself is only an accelerator of change, not a creator. A lean approach to new industry trends (5.0, Gen AI, deep learning, etc) allows a more comprehensive and effective change into an organization rather than following the mass trends somehow because every one is doing.

Finally, it's essential to monitor your metrics to assess the impact of your practices and initiatives. Regularly analyzing these metrics will help identify areas of opportunity and adjust your strategies according to industry trends.

By identifying gaps between our current performance and that of industry leaders, we can pinpoint areas for improvement to reach best-in-class status. Based on the findings of benchmarking studies, we can develop and implement improvement strategies tailored to address specific areas of weakness or opportunity, such as process redesign, technology adoption, talent development, or organizational restructuring.

Deploying lean is primarily about change. SW must be todays best know way not tomorrows, so as a lean professional we must also be open to change. Although I still prefer boards on the shop floor I have had to adapt to the digital world. Same for standardized work, pen and paper are being replaced and you cannot be anti-change if much of your role is coaching change.

For me as a self-described lifelong learner, I continue to read a lot to “sharpen the saw” as Dr. Covey eloquently put it.
