AAAE's members represent nearly 875 airports and authorities, in addition to hundreds of companies and organizations that support airports. AAAE serves its membership through results-oriented representation in Washington, D.C. and delivers a wide range of industry services and professional development opportunities including training, meetings and conferences, and a highly respected accreditation program.

    Ultra low-cost carrier Breeze Airways has announced plans to add service to Portsmouth International Airport at Pease — the first new airline at the New Hampshire airport since 2019. “We are thrilled to welcome Breeze Airways to Pease International Airport,” stated Pease Development Authority Executive Director Paul Brean, C.M. “This addition marks an exciting development for Pease and presents a fantastic opportunity to enhance airline services for residents of the Seacoast region.” #aviationnews

    Congratulations to two of our operations agents who recently received Airport Certified Employee (A.C.E.) – Airfield Operations designation from AAAE. The A.C.E signifies enhanced knowledge in airfield operations which ultimately improves the safety and efficiency of the airfield. Josh Barberi, A.C.E., is an Operations Agent and has been at the airport since 2011; Craig Walker, ACE is the Airport Training Coordinator and has been at DAB since 2014. In all, the airport has five employees who have A.C.E. designation.

    Six brand new train cars began carrying passengers between Denver International’s Jeppesen Terminal and concourses recently — part of a larger effort to upgrade the Colorado airports Automated Guideway Train System. The new train cars increase the number of passengers that can be moved to the gates by approximately 850 people per hour. “Our train to the concourses play a crucial role in the passenger experience at DEN. With 77.8 million annual passengers and millions more expected year over year, we know we need the most reliable, durable and efficient infrastructure and systems to ensure as seamless an experience as possible,” said Airport CEO Phil Washington. #aviationnews
