Breaking stereotypes: Why introverts can also make great leaders. Can introverts be leaders? According to Andres Raya Donet, the answer is a resounding "yes." Carl Jung says introverted individuals draw strength and energy from themselves and not from the outside. They are reflective and calm, enjoy being in small groups, think deeply before deciding, and learn from observation. Introverted individuals make up about half of the world's population. However, 96% of senior executives prefer to define themselves as extroverts because of prejudice. Disclaimer: It is essential to avoid stereotypes. There is no better or worse profile; everyone can use their qualities to best deal with each context. Some of the strengths of introverted leaders: → Are more prone to humility. → Are excellent problem solvers. → Focus on actions rather than words. → Know how to generate enthusiasm and loyalty. → Are excellent mentors, as they strive to constantly improve. → Influence people by paying them attention and consideration. → Are likely to leave ego in the background even in high-stress situations. Do not seek to dominate, nor do they feel threatened by proactive colleagues. ✅ Challenges introverted leaders face. In her book 'The Introverted Leader', Jennifer Kahnweiler talks about the "four P process," Preparation: working on doing things in the way that best suits personal character. Presence: always focus on the situation we have in front of us without wandering Push: learning to get out of the comfort zone, assuming, from time to time, some risk. Practice: take advantage of opportunities to act effectively without renouncing one's personality. Credits post & illustration: Roberto Ferraro

Burnout is an all-too-common challenge in today's fast-paced work environment. BetterUp's research has shown that one significant driver of burnout is misalignment between an individual's job and their sense of purpose. Forbes Magazine recently highlighted this issue in their article on "misalignment burnout," emphasizing the critical impact of this disconnect on employees' well-being. Employees who feel a strong alignment between their job and their purpose are 50% more likely to be engaged and 75% less likely to experience burnout. When your job aligns with your purpose, work becomes more than just a series of tasks—it becomes a source of fulfillment and energy. So, what can you do if your job isn't aligned with your purpose? Here are a few tangible tips: ⚡Reflect and Identify: Take time to reflect on what truly drives you. Identify your core values and passions. Understanding your purpose is the first step towards aligning your work with it. ⚡Communicate with Your Manager: Don't hesitate to discuss your aspirations and concerns with your manager. Open communication can lead to adjustments in your role that better align with your purpose. ⚡Seek Opportunities: Look for opportunities within your current role or organization that resonate with your sense of purpose. This could be taking on new projects, joining committees, or finding mentorship opportunities. ⚡Professional Development: Invest in learning and development that moves you closer to your purpose. Whether it's acquiring new skills or exploring different fields, continuous growth is key. Agree? Credits: BetterUp #leadership #careers #growth

Are high-standards, intrinsic or teachable? In this two-pages, Jeff Bezos (Founder, Amazon) teaches you more about high standards than you'll learn from reading 2 books. The art of summarizing that which resists summary is critical to achieving greatness. The world will forget you, except what you've written down, then what you've written down well.
