Serving in the summertime! In line with our mission to support community organizations who support women and families, AWIN joined our July community partner, Nashville Rescue Mission, at their brand-new, 72,000 square-foot Women and Children’s campus. We had several volunteers from our member organizations serve lunch, play games with families, organize the hygiene storage room, and assist guests in the computer lab. Thank you to our volunteers as well as the incredible team at the Mission who made these service projects possible!

In need of some inspiration? Yesterday, we presented our first-ever Advancing Innovation Awards, recognizing member organizations who are changing the workplace and community for the better. Inspired by our very own members, AWIN created this program to share positive change and its ripple effect across our membership, which includes 40 of the strongest, most innovative organizations in the region. We are honored to recognize three initiatives that align with AWIN’s three mission pillars. And the winners are… Advancing Leaders: AllianceBernstein’s ReInvest Returnship Program Advancing Community: Dell Technologies’ 2023 Community Impact Initiative Advancing Change: Skanska’s Green Sticker Initiative Congratulations to all! Stay tuned as we share more about each innovative program.

AWIN recently had the honor of having Barge Design Solutions CEO Bob Higgins present on AI for leadership for our semi-annual Executive Roundtable. Bob encouraged leaders to accept “we will be forever changed by this moment” and “still have to own it,” assuring them that human ingenuity can never be eliminated when leveraging AI. Congratulations, Bob, for this feature in The New York Times! We are proud to see our AWIN member in the national spotlight.
