Yesterday was #NationalLineworkerAppreciationDay, a day where we celebrate the professionals who step into the field daily, prepared to tackle everything from extreme weather conditions to the complexities of managing high-voltage power lines, all while upholding our core value of safety. Yesterday, as we were faced with the remnants of #HurricaneBeryl, we were reminded of the critical role our lineworkers play in restoring power to our homes and communities. Today we want to take another opportunity to thank all of our lineworkers for everything they do. Yesterday’s storm restoration efforts were a small example of what they do 24/7/365 days a year.

Today we honor National Lineworker Appreciation Day and celebrate the dedication of lineworkers nationwide. These professionals step into the field daily, prepared to tackle everything from extreme weather conditions to the complexities of managing high-voltage power lines, all while upholding our core value of safety. Thank you to all of our people for their unwavering commitment to our communities!  Hurricane Beryl has knocked out power to more than 2 million people across the US and is a reminder of the critical role lineworkers play in restoring power to our homes and communities. In Indiana and Ohio this week, lineworkers responded to outages caused by remnants from the hurricane that passed through our service territories. Thank you to all of our lineworkers for everything you do. This is a small example of what they do 365 days a year. #NationalLineworkerAppreciationDay #ThankALineworker #SafetyFirst #Teamwork #Innovation

I am pleased to share an article published in the most recent Innovation Issue of the Indianapolis Business Journal that highlights AES Indiana's recent efforts to demonstrate how we can increase  grid capacity through innovative technologies.     The United States is experiencing a rapidly shifting energy landscape due to the rising use of electricity, including electric vehicles and big tech data centers, which highlight the need for energy production and delivery to keep pace with growing customer demand. At The AES Corporation, we’re piloting innovative projects, such as LineVision's Dynamic Line Ratings (DLR), to better understand how we can deliver more energy on the grid as safely and efficiently as possible.     You can read the full article where I share more about AES Indiana’s LineVision pilot project, initial findings, and key learnings so that we can get more value from our existing grid assets with improved information. This pilot project reinforces that innovation is a crucial component for a greener, safer, and more equitable energy future.   #AES #Innovation #SustainableEnergy
