We’re proud of our 501(c)(3) employee foundation, Affirm Cares, which was started in 2019 to make a significant and meaningful impact in the communities where we live and work! Recently, leaders of our Affirm Cares Advisory Committee got together in NYC to discuss the Affirm Cares mission and vision, improve organizational structure, and plan fiscal year goals. Fabiola Cazares, Sr. Manager, Government Relations, shared, “I had the privilege of attending our annual Affirm Cares Retreat. This experience was a unique opportunity to collaborate with passionate Affirmers, all committed to making a difference through our work at Affirm Cares. We also had a great time bonding over a fun team activity and dinner! The retreat was deeply inspiring; it reinforced my belief in the power of collective effort and the impact we can make when we come together with a shared mission. I'm excited about the path ahead and look forward to contributing to the growth and success of Affirm Cares.” Learn more about Affirm Cares: https://lnkd.in/gaNMWv3n #community #givingback #affirmers

CNBC’s Kelly Evans spoke with our Founder and CEO, Max Levchin, earlier today on why it’s time for “revolving” on a credit 💳 to be rebranded as “buy now and pay forever”. 💭 Max said: “The most important thing we deliver [consumers] is a sense of certainty and control… We don’t allow revolving. We don’t charge compound interest. We don’t charge late fees.” Check out the full interview to learn more about the state of the consumer and U.S. economy. Our Founder and CEO Max Levchin recently joined Slava Rubin on the Smart Humans podcast to discuss investing and entrepreneurship, from the early days of the internet → Affirm’s role today in payments. Some highlights from Max: 🛠️ Lending is hard. It's not an easy thing to do, and that's good. In general, my entrepreneurial advice has always been ‘build really difficult things’. While there are a couple of reasons why Affirm has been successful, the main one is that building a really good underwriting engine takes a long time. 🔮 I spend 99% of my time formulating my thesis around what to do with Affirm today, tomorrow, five years from now, 36 months from now. And so when I think or invest, the first thing that comes to mind is actually how I'm going to spend my time over the next 36 months to make sure Affirm is best positioned for the future and that we are harnessing all the cool new things that are happening in computing. Watch or listen to the full episode here or wherever you get your podcasts, including to learn which career path Max almost pursued (hint: it combines a passion for math, security, and cryptography): https://bit.ly/4f3CzR1

ICYMI: Our partners at Stripe recently ran an A/B test to assess the impact of offering flexible pay-over-time options like Affirm at checkout. Across 150,000 Stripe checkout sessions: 📈Businesses who offered a pay-over-time option at checkout saw up to a 14% increase in revenue. 💥Over 66% of pay-over-time volume came from net-new sales, where the customer likely only completed the transaction because a pay-over-time option was offered. 🛒Pay-over-time options drove increased conversion rates regardless of cart size. Transactions for both bigger ticket items ($500-$1500 average order value) and lower cost items (<$500 average order value) saw increased conversion rates when a pay-over-time option was offered at checkout. Stripe’s findings reinforce what we’ve known all along - that honest, flexible, and transparent payment methods like Affirm empower consumers while helping businesses of all sizes drive growth.
