A skincare company focused on empowering individuals with melanated skin has secured new funding. Kenya-based skincare company Uncover, founded in 2021 by Sneha Mehta and Jade Oyateru, has raised $1.4 million to empower those with melanated skin. The company offers tailored skincare routines via quizzes and interactive features, serving over 200,000 women across Kenya, Nigeria, and the diaspora, with recent expansions to Ghana and Uganda. Per a news release, lyrics from Elliott's song "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly" were transmitted about 158 million miles away to reach Venus through NASA's DSN (Deep Space Network).
