Since our partnership began in March, Royal Jordanian Airlines has significantly contributed to Airlink's humanitarian response in #Gaza. Their support in transporting 17 tons of humanitarian aid has enabled six of our NGO partners to continue their relief operations on the ground and reach over 113,000 people with assistance. 29,000 of these beneficiaries are patients at a field hospital resupplied with urgently needed medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. This morning's #Sudan event at The Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. honored #MandelaDay, and Airlink was fortunate to be part of this vitally important discussion with our Associate Director of Humanitarian Programs, Bethany Holland, contributing as a panelist speaker. Sudan is experiencing the largest internal displacement crisis in the world, but the harrowing humanitarian crisis that has torn millions of lives apart has not received global attention that is proportionate to its magnitude. The outstanding panel shared their insights, many from lived experiences, assessing current efforts to address the displacement crisis, identifying gaps, and making recommendations for raising global awareness and inspiring collective action. Key themes included the importance of Sudanese citizens informing the humanitarian approach, creative solutions that transcend siloed thinking, and considering Sudan's issues within the broader regional context. Airlink remains dedicated to aid delivery solutions for our #NGO partners, ensuring essential aid reaches those in need while strengthening public-private partnerships to enhance efforts in Sudan and neighboring countries.
