Really important information for employers who have long-term, part-time employees. Effective January 1, 2024, 401(k) and ERISA 403(b) plans must allow employees who have worked more than 500 hours of service over a two or three-year period to be eligible to participate in your retirement plan. If you are unsure how to count your part-time employee's vesting rights, or need your plan document revised to eliminate the exclusion for part-time employees, reach out to Alvis People Solutions, LLC. for support. We can help.
The initial SECURE Act created a new class of plan participants called Long-Term Part-Time (LTPT) Employees. Employees in this new class must be given the right to make deferrals to 401(k) plans, with certain plans needing to allow LTPT employees to enroll starting January 1, 2024. #secureact #ltpt #401k

Looking to refer some project work to the right HR Consultant.
Attention HR Consultants: I am looking to refer some project work for a large nonprofit in San Francisco to you if you have the capacity. The work can be done remotely. If you are someone that is interested or know an HR professional who is consulting that is looking for 2-3 months of steady part time work, please send me a note. I will simply connect you with the nonprofit directly. Excellent opportunity for the right consultant.
