A glimpse into American Gage's Mass lab. We're big fans of Mettler comparators and Troemner mass standards out here in Southern California. Our Mass Lab consists of 4 comparators and Class 0 Troemner mass standards. XPE26C (22 g x 0.001 mg) ±2 µg repeatability XPE505C (520 g x 01 mg) ±35 µg repeatability XPR2004SC (2300 g x 0.1 mg) ±0.25 mg repeatability XP26003L (26.1 kg 0.001 g) ±0.3 mg repeatability These standards, along with our Novasina DataLog 30 sensors in each weighing cavity and Mettler's MCLink software, allow us to achieve the uncertainties needed to be accredited for Class 1 mass capabilities per A2LA up to 25 kg. With competitive pricing, 7-10 working day turn-a-round and free local pick-up, we would appreciate the consideration. #mettler #calibration #metrology

As Manufacturers continue to push the limits of accuracy, proper calibration equipment becomes essential. Calibrating Fluke's 753 calibrator requires more than just your standard 5XXX series calibrators. Below is the verification of the 753's K Type Source utilizing Fluke's MET/CAL software. With a source accuracy of ±0.3 °C, we utilize a 2565 thermocouple module in order to maintain an adequate TUR. #calibration #metrology #Fluke

What’s that age old saying in business, you’re only as good as your employees? I agree. Below is a Yokogawa WT1600 being calibrated via in house developed automation from our senior metrologist/ engineer Tyler. American Gage is fortunate to have many other employees that contribute to our success also. If you’re in the market for calibration services, we appreciate you giving us a look. www.americangage.com #calibration #metrology

As Oscilloscope technology continues to blur the lines into the RF, they are outpacing the capability of the traditional Oscilloscope calibrators. Use of low noise RF generators are key to ensuring you're not getting false failures on parameters such as delta time measurement, which require an extremely stable signal. With performance test requirements getting longer, the use of automation is also becoming essential. Thanks to our partnership with VEE Cal, we are able to provide full data for these high bandwidth scopes, regardless of how intensive the OEM makes their test. If you're in the need for these or any Low DC/RF calibrations, we encourage you to consider American Gage. #calibration #metrology

Accredited Calibration of Fluke’s 9170 series Metrology Wells at American Gage. This is an Accredited Calibration being performed on a Fluke 9172 Metrology Well at American Gage. The 9172 has a temperature range of 35 °C to 425 °C and an optional PRT Reference Probe Input. The calibration process includes verifying the probe input resistance as seen in the center of the display. The resistor is characterized using a Fluke 8508A. The well temperature is also verified for accuracy, stability, axial gradient, and hysteresis using a Fluke 1594A Super-Thermometer, SPRT, and PRT. We will pick up your equipment in Southern California for free, ensuring it misses out on any rough handling during shipment. Contact American Gage for more information including sample measurement reports (657) 215-2600. We would also be happy to discuss any calibration needs you may have. hashtag #metrology #calibrationservices #standardcalibrations

Line regulation is the ability of a power supply to maintain a constant output at full load, despite changes to the input voltage. This is especially important in situations where the power supply’s input source is unstable, which could cause the output to vary. Below is a Keysight E3632A power supply's line regulation being verified. This is accomplished through multiple meters, an electronic load and a current shunt. If you're in the need of Low/DC calibrations to ANSI Z540 or ISO-17025 requirements, we'd appreciate the consideration. www.americangage.com #metrology #calibration #powersupply #Keysight

Long-term preservation of cells and tissues is accomplished in the pharma sector via cyrogenic storage. Improper temperature storage may have catastrophic effects on the medications and drugs stored or in the worst case, the recipient. Calibrating equipment that monitors these conditions is accomplished through the use of liquid nitrogen, an intrinsic standard in the field of metrology. It has a boiling point of approximately −195.8 °C. Below our lab is calibrating a Fluke 5627A PRT (-200-300 °C) at liquid nitrogen's boiling point. This is accomplished with our MET/TEMP II software, 1594A Super Thermometer, 5699 SPRT and a Fluke 7196B metrology dewar. Our A2LA accredited uncertainty at this point is 4.2 mK. If you're in the need of this low temperature calibration or just in the need of calibration, we would appreciate you keeping us in mind. www.americangage.com #metrology #PRT #RTD #Thermistor

PRT, RTD and transmitter calibrations require high end standards, capable technicians and low uncertainty. One way to lower uncertainties is through automated calibration. Here at American Gage, we run Fluke's MET/TEMP software which communicates with our baths and super-thermometers to eliminate the uncertainty of data collecting due to human error. MET/TEMP also does our calculations of the characterization coefficients and extrapolations for your resistance values vs temperatures, which eliminates further possible errors due to data collection/entry. The main concern with these types of probes is drift. This drift is verified with our 5901 Triple Point of Water and allows us to make that determination. Below is a Fluke 5610-9 transmitter being calibrated with our 5699 SPRT, a 1594A super-thermometer and our 7341 bath. If you're in the need of this service, we'd appreciate you giving us consideration. Our temperature range for these types of probes is -195°C to 500°C with uncertainties as low as 9mK.
