Here's a #FeelGoodFriday moment for your feed, from Erica Cacas Phung utilizing the amazing benefits #TheAHALife has to offer. ❤️ At the American Heart Association, we are committed to empowering our employees, and that includes offering benefits that allow them to achieve their goals, such as receiving a master's degree through our tuition assistance program. Hear from Erica, our National Senior Director of Advocacy with Voices for Healthy Kids, as she reflects on the gratitude she has to work for an organization that helps her achieve her goals: "Before this [tuition assistance] program, going to graduate school had never been in the cards for me. The AHA/UAGC program fulfills a dream I never thought would happen. I’m eternally grateful to our leadership for creating the program, and to my amazing supervisor, Lori Fresina, for all her support over the past few years. I’ve already been able to apply some of the team building and cohesion strategies I’ve learned with my team, and I know that my MAOM undoubtedly sets me up for success here at Heart in the future." Congratulations, Erica, for recently graduating with your master's degree in organizational management (MAOM) at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC)! 🎉

#TheAHALife x Centennial: Introducing Katie White, our Sr. Director, Application Development & Digital Marketing, who has been a part of #TheAHALife for 22 years. Hear about Katie’s experience and why she is grateful to work for an organization that promotes your career growth. What’s motivated you to stay for 20+ years with the organization? - I have been fortunate to have many opportunities for growth in my experience, knowledge, and responsibility over the last 22 years. I was lucky to have exposure to leadership who invested their time in helping me grow at the American Heart Association. What’s one of your favorite memories as an employee here? - It’s a more recent memory, but it ties back to a collection of memories over the last 20+ years: The Anaheim meeting in August 2023 – It connected me back with so many of the people I worked with over the years. It filled me with so much joy and brought back so many good memories and experiences after connecting with them in person again. I’m not positive of the statistics, but I do know many people have been here for over 10 years. It is such a rewarding experience to be able to work with familiar faces over decades as you grow your career throughout the organization.
