"Nearly 9 out of 10 women participating in Ryan White achieved viral suppression in 2022," writes Senior Medical and Policy Advisor Dr. Susan Blumenthal. But these successes have led to "AIDS amnesia" putting women's lives at risk. https://lnkd.in/dn_-JZki

HIV and HPV service integration is critical to promoting women’s health and preventing cervical cancer deaths globally. Women living with HIV are six times more likely to develop cervical cancer than those without HIV. HPV infection also doubles the risk of acquiring HIV. Integrating cervical cancer prevention and treatment into existing HIV infrastructure is essential to end these dual epidemics. amfAR has joined this effort by recently co-sponsoring a philanthropic webinar with Funders Concerned About AIDS and Funders for Reproductive Equity to support cervical cancer elimination goals. To learn more, read our issue brief that calls for increased funding towards service integration and research to combat these issues globally. https://lnkd.in/gQqQa7km Cc: AVAC, Biden Cancer Initiative, Unitaid, EGPAF EGPAF
