AOAC is seeking volunteer subject matter experts to serve on a working group to develop a voluntary consensus standard for trace essential and non-essential elements in foods. This is an extension of the Heavy Metals working group that recently published AOAC SMPR® 2024.002. The working group will develop one or more SMPRs® (as deemed necessary by WG experts), based on priorities established by the Advisory Panel.
