#DYK In 2006, we opened our first research and development facility in Cambridge, MA to develop and integrate advanced technologies into our unmanned aerial vehicles. Today we have two facilities in Massachusetts that house offices, workspaces, and technology labs to support cutting-edge research programs in autonomy, rapid prototyping, and testing. Happy Independence Day! Today, we not only celebrate our nation’s freedom but also honor the spirit of innovation, progress, and teamwork that got us here as we continue to push boundaries and advance the future of flight.
“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of the divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” One of the most impactful lines in the Declaration of Independence is the last sentence. It speaks to unity and commitment as much as independence. It’s powerful to think of pledging our lives, fortunes, and honor to one another. We are stronger together.

Here's a sneak peek at Aurora's latest Group 2 UAS. SKIRON-XLE is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and purpose-designed for long range reconnaissance. In addition to Trillium Engineering payloads and a fuel cell from Intelligent Energy, the complete SKIRON-XLE system includes a ruggedized ground control station with Kutta Technologies, LLCs’ Unified Ground Control Station software, which meets international STANAG 4586 standards as well the US Army’s Interoperability standards. With this Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) to software and hardware interoperability, the entire SKIRON-XLE system provides a unique solution for this class of UAS.
