Avalon Housing is an Ann Arbor-based nonprofit created in 1992 to provide supportive long-term housing for people who struggle with homelessness and behavioral and physical health challenges. We offer a unique blend of intensive property management, support services and community-building to not only end homelessness but improve people’s quality of life. Avalon serves over 800 adults and children in Washtenaw County.

Our annual Youth vs. Staff basketball game resumed today after a few years' break. The kids came out with the win, 37-31, despite a furious second-half comeback attempt by staff. Representatives from some of the Divine Nine sororities and fraternities also made presentations to Avalon tenants. Thanks to everyone who participated, and have a great Fourth weekend!

Last week, Michigan lawmakers passed a $20M appropriation for supportive housing services, which we championed alongside Senator Jeff Irwin, Representative Felicia Brabec, Avalon Housing, and advocates across the state.
