Want your sales reps to nail every meeting? Teach them these 2 game-changing tips. 1. Faster is Better We’ve all heard that responding quickly to inbound leads dramatically increases our win rates. According to the Harvard Business Review, 78% of prospects purchase from the first respondent. Every high-performing sales team I work with uses scheduling automation for inbound leads, with most relying on something like Calendly’s Round Robin feature. Speed to lead is of paramount importance for inbound, but what about outbound? Using scheduling automation in outbound is the secret to running faster sales cycles because you capitalize on the emotional buying peak. 👉 The Emotional Buying Peak The emotional buying peak is why scheduling automation isn’t just for inbound leads. The "emotional buying peak" in sales refers to the moment when a buyer's emotions are most intensely aligned with making a purchase. It’s when the buyer feels the strongest urge or desire to buy, driven by emotions such as excitement, relief, or anticipation of benefits. This is the optimal time to close the sale. If you make it easy to meet with you faster, you run shorter sales cycles. Shorter sales cycles result in your buyer spending a larger percentage of the sales cycle in the emotional buying peak allowing you to close more deals.  To run faster, better meetings your reps need to use scheduling automation.   First, book the initial meeting quickly to leverage first responder favoritism.  Next, book follow-up meetings during the current meeting using a feature like Calendly’s browser extension. 2. No Agenda No Attenda You’ve set the meeting, now how do you get the prospect to show up? Using automated meeting reminders is table stakes. I customize my reminders based on the type of meeting that was booked. My reminders go out 2 days before & 3 hours before every meeting in my calendar. Reminding a prospect of the time and date of a meeting isn’t enough. You need to remind them why they agreed to meet in the first place and why they should show up now. The easiest way to accomplish this is to set a client-facing agenda. I leverage Calendly’s ability to create custom fields that prospects complete during the booking process to help set great agendas. WARNING: Don’t over-complicate this process. Adding too many questions adds friction which discourages folks from completing the meeting request. I suggest 1-2 added custom fields so make them count. I ask: What is the # 1 problem you need to solve in the next 6 months that we should talk about during our call? #BetterMeetings #CalendlyCollab

I've scrolled through approximately 18,758 posts about getting more leads. And ~0 about making the most of the leads you already have. Here's what Calendly does to ensure no lead is left behind 👇 1️⃣ Doesn't treat every page on the website as having equal intent. Landing on the homepage --> sign up for free. Learning about a product feature --> see a demo. Going deep on enterprise capabilities --> talk to sales. This customization helped Calendly increase the number of qualified leads from the website by 50%. 2️⃣ Introduced a salaried "support-assist" team to catch prospects who want to talk to an AE, but are too small. Support-assist also closes small deals & routes larger ones to sales if the team got qualifying wrong. (#CSQualifiedLead) 3️⃣ Uses tech to route which leads go to sales. Calendly used to have SDRs set up prospect meetings & qualify for AEs. They've replaced SDRs with a marketing- & tech-forward approach with 6sense (intent), company info, product data, and Calendly (routing & meeting scheduling). 4️⃣ Keeps iterating based on feedback from sales. They didn't nail it right away. Certain leads looked highly qualified, but didn't convert. Sales brings the qualitative perspective that's too often missing. Thanks, Jessica Gilmartin, for the inside look at what y'all are doing 👏 #marketing #sales #mqls
