FinaMill is proud to support Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), a workplace development non-profit that offers underserved teens a pathway to success. Late last month, C-CAP awarded $330,000 in college scholarships to students in the Washington DC area. Congratulations to all! Here at Filippo Berio USA Ltd., we’re proud of our longstanding partnership with Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP). One of the many ways C-CAP and Filippo Berio help make a difference in the lives of talented youth is through the Filippo Berio Scholarship that is available to students across C-CAP’s 186 schools throughout the United States. The Filippo Berio Scholarship helps these youth further their college education, especially for those students who wish to attend culinary and hospitality programs.   Our team had the honor of meeting many of this year’s scholarship winners. We believe a passion for food can go beyond simply making incredible meals – it can change lives. These scholarships represent a big step towards C-CAP’s students achieving their dreams. 2024 marks a decade of collaboration with Jonathan Club and the nonprofit Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), a workforce development organization that empowers underserved teens with a pathway to success through culinary education.   We both share a mission to highlight exemplary culinary experiences, and as such, Jonathan Club became the very first partner of C-CAP for their acclaimed apprenticeship program in 2014. Here, under the guidance of Master Chef Andreas Roller, students gain real-time experience in a commercial kitchen, alongside hands-on instruction on seasonal ingredients through our Urban Garden initiative.   We are honored to host their diverse array of events throughout the year, notably the Annual Awards Ceremony and Fundraising Gala. In 2024 alone, these events have collectively awarded $400,000 dollars in scholarships, advancing this crucial program and ensuring student success. This year's Fundraising Gala is on May 17th, partnering with the pioneering Chef and Restauranteur, Nancy Silverton. We are looking for five chefs from a mix of foodservice segments to be co-creators of FCL's new Culinary Ambassadors for Sustainable Aquatic Foods initiative. This chef-to-chef 👩🍳 ↔ 👨🍳 project aims to raise awareness, value, and enjoyment of sustainable #aquaticfoods 🌊 and, ultimately, motivate and empower a cohort of 100 chefs to feature these delicious, culturally diverse ingredients on their menus. Visit Philadelphia is proud to support C-CAP — the Careers through Culinary Arts Program — which empowers underserved students in finding a pathway to success in the culinary industry. This week, members of our team attended the C-CAP Philly Pheast, which was an evening of delicious food from students and alumni, and Philadelphia chefs from Cantina La Martina, Fiore Fine Foods and White Yak, accompanied by live music by the String Theory Choir and Quartet with spectacular skyline views at the Pyramid Club. There was not a dry eye in the room as C-CAP seniors and juniors were awarded scholarships to some of the best culinary programs and universities around the country. Very happy for the 14 students at our Careers through Culinary Arts Program Philadelphia location who received more than $300,000 in college scholarships Monday night.This year C-CAP will give more than $2.5 million in scholarships to 144 students across the country.
