Did you know Cat® machines haven't always been yellow? Before the 1930's, all machines were "battleship gray" with a red Caterpillar logo. In 1931, the company decided its machines needed to be brighter for better visibility on road construction sites. The "Caterpillar Yellow" used on the machines today is trademarked.

Our Princeton, WV, rebuild team has been busy this year completing multiple mining truck rebuilds using "glider kits," which is a trucking industry term that refers to using a new frame. Components from the original truck are reconditioned and then installed onto the new cab and chassis. From a cost and time standpoint, glider kit rebuilds are an attractive option for some of our mining customers who have large, aging truck fleets.
