We open doors to overcome and prevent homelessness.
About us
Central OAC opens doors to prevent and overcome homelessness. We are a nonprofit located in downtown Atlanta that provides direct services such as ID, medical referrals, clothing and food referrals, and birth certificates. We also have a job readiness program to help individuals with resumes, interview skills, and job applications. Lastly, we work with and for our guests to advocate for positive community changes that support their efforts to become stable and self-sufficient.

One $5 donation can go a long way! At Central OAC, our mission to end homelessness includes providing support services for our guests. Many times, our guests don’t even have the most basic forms of identification required to complete necessary tasks such as applying for food stamps, jobs, or housing. With only $5, we can help a guest obtain an ID and get a piece of their identity back. Help us help our community by donating $5 today in support of our 4th annual fundraiser for the In Their Shoes 10 Mile Challenge. https://lnkd.in/eiveW8sY #COACIntheirshoes #nonprofit #homelessness #makingadifference

We invite you to join us on our mission to open doors to prevent and overcome homelessness. The COAC is currently looking for corporate sponsors and we hope that your organization will consider supporting our cause and the larger Atlanta community alongside us. Each year, this annual fundraiser helps us to continue the critical work we're doing in our communities. This year, our 4th annual In Their Shoes event will be held on April 21, 2024. If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor, please send a direct message or reach out to Executive Director Kimberly Parker, and we look forward to connecting. Thank you to Kevin Pleiss and this entire team at The Home Depot for volunteering your time to build Alison’s Boutique. We never thought we'd be able to do this, and now there is a place for our guests to “shop” for the clothes they want or need to go to an interview or begin a new job. We're so grateful for your support and partnership. #volunteeringmatters #nonprofit
What an amazing day with Team Depot and the incredible staff at Central Outreach and Advocacy Center. Thanks to The Home Depot, PPG, Atlanta ToolBank, TE Certified, all the passionate volunteers, and the leadership from Faryal Ahmed!
