Yesterday was World Cancer Day. It reminds us that cancer affects millions of people around the world and when we work together, we can get closer to defeating it. It’s Health Care Value Week, and Vālenz® Health is always seeking better ways to improve cost, utilization and quality for all. 🏥 As demands for performance-based reimbursement grow, we’re engaging early and often with members to align care with the right providers at the right place and the right time. And, we’re deconstructing traditional networks to partner with providers to assure market-sensitive reimbursements while optimizing the overall health spend. In 2022, we partnered with Certus Management Group to reduce their high dollar claims. Through a combination of full claim review, which identified numerous questionable and erroneous charges, and our 501(r) solution, which resulted in waiving some of the large claims completely, we improved CMG’s medical loss ratio by 9 points. We look forward to helping other clients and MGUs in reducing claim expenses – get in touch with us to make it happen.
